Role Overview
We are expanding our team in Cork and seek an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join our project delivery division. This position provides opportunities to work on diverse projects across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Commercial development. Exposure to varied construction contracts and a dynamic working environment is assured.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Contract Managers to monitor and advise on the commercial progress of projects.
- Participate in reviewing project contracts to ensure compliance and clarity.
- Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with preparing detailed commercial reports.
- Engage in negotiations with contractors, including managing change orders and contract variations.
- Oversee major subcontractor accounts from the award phase through valuations and final account settlements.
- Assist in managing monthly progress payment applications.
- Perform additional duties relevant to the Quantity Surveyor role as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within an electrical contracting environment.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Capability to operate effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong IT proficiency across necessary software and tools.
- Outstanding communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
