Position Overview
Our client, a pioneering FinTech company, develops a leading edge investment and wealth management platform widely used by financial institutions across the UK and Europe. Due to ongoing growth and continuous investment in technology, they seek an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and enhance the Quality Assurance function, ensuring premium software quality for this critical financial platform.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of manual and automation QA engineers.
- Establish and implement comprehensive quality strategies and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Programme Delivery teams to promote high release quality, increased test coverage, and automation alignment with business goals.
- Oversee quality governance across multiple projects: define testing protocols, manage release quality checkpoints, and execute defect management procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and monitor quality KPIs.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and liaise with Scrum teams, Product Owners, and senior stakeholders within an Agile framework.
- Drive and support the organisation's test automation strategy utilizing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and integrate with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Champion adoption of AI-assisted testing and quality engineering methodologies to modernise software delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven leadership experience managing QA teams in software, FinTech, or financial services sectors.
- Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms, investment, or wealth management solutions preferred.
- Experience working with distributed and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and fostering high-performing technical teams focused on continuous improvement and software quality excellence.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
