Purchasing and Logistics Manager

Position Overview

ASBIS is seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Manager responsible for the effective and economical management of the entire supply chain process. The role focuses on optimizing procurement, logistics, and inventory operations to maintain solid supplier partnerships, reduce risks, and ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

• Analyze demand patterns and control inventory levels, including reporting on stock turnover and availability.
• Manage procurement activities and supplier relationships, establish sales and purchasing guidelines, and handle purchase orders via the ERP system.
• Coordinate logistics by placing transport orders, tracking shipments, and managing direct deliveries to clients. Source cost-efficient freight forwarding options and uphold security protocols for high-value goods.
• Oversee warehouse operations, implement Warehouse Management System (WMS) practices, and develop warehouse procedures.
• Perform detailed supply chain data analysis and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of relevant supply chain or logistics experience.
• Skilled in supply chain software and ERP platforms.
• Strong capabilities in analysis and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and leadership qualities.
• Experience in managing projects and leading teams.
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulations.
• Background in retail or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
• Fluency in Arabic and English required.
