Role Overview

The Prompt Engineer will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and refining prompts used with AI language models to enhance MDA's consulting, communication, and green energy programs. This full-time, on-site position in Pristina requires close collaboration with consultants, technical specialists, and communication teams to convert business and technical needs into effective AI-driven workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of various use cases to design appropriate AI prompts.
• Create and maintain prompt libraries optimized for accuracy and dependability.
• Document best practices for prompt engineering and usage.
• Monitor outputs of AI models to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Work with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve AI integration.
• Develop clear guidelines and training materials to support end users.
• Continuously enhance prompt strategies informed by performance data and user feedback.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in designing and optimizing instructions, constraints, and examples for AI language models to generate reliable results.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex business, technical, or policy requirements into clear specifications.
• Excellent written communication skills, capable of producing concise, context-aware content in US English tailored to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of AI tools, machine learning principles, or large language models and comfort working in tech-driven environments.
• Experience collaborating in cross-disciplinary teams, especially involving consultants, engineers, or public-sector professionals.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance, including review for bias, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Communications, Public Policy, or an equivalent field, or commensurate practical experience.
• Ability to work physically in Pristina and effective communication in English; familiarity with local Balkan languages is advantageous.
• Interest or prior experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, public services, or private sector development is a plus.
