Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineering Lead, the Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and delivering engineering projects within allotted timelines and budgets. This role requires coordination across engineering teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate project setup after award and estimate handoff, ensuring project team, budget, and documentation are ready for effective kickoff.
• Maintain project reporting to clients and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication among the client, project team, and stakeholders through project meetings such as kick-offs, updates, change orders, recovery plans, and lessons learned.
• Ensure timely processing of accounts receivable and payable invoices to support cash flow and project payment.
• Manage project expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets and aligning man-hour forecasts.
• Communicate change order requests to clients and manage associated budget adjustments.
• Maintain constant awareness of quality and acceptance criteria for all projects assigned.
• Identify staffing needs including specialty consultants and subcontractors, setting clear expectations for project team members to guarantee successful delivery.
• Oversee project closeout procedures and conduct reviews to highlight improvement areas and provide recommendations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is advantageous.
• Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
• Experience working with electric utility clients is considered a positive asset.
• Familiarity with executing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques is essential.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with adaptability to shifting priorities and deadlines.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience managing medium to large full lifecycle construction projects is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with proven ability to lead diverse teams in dynamic, deadline-driven environments are highly valued.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, HardDollar, and ViewPoint Construction Software is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
