The Enabling Services group within the Treasury provides essential strategic and operational functions including finance, IT, governance, and organizational strategy to support this vision.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join the Enabling Services team. Your core responsibility will be to plan, manage, and deliver IT projects that improve business processes and operations. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across the Treasury and central agencies such as the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Public Service Commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scopes, developing complete project management plans including schedules and budgets.
- Ensure projects are delivered successfully within agreed tolerance levels.
- Lead project teams effectively, managing risks and handling issues promptly.
- Engage stakeholders thoroughly to capture needs and maintain transparent communications.
- Oversee change management procedures and facilitate the smooth transition of deliverables to IT operations.
- Complete all requisite project documentation and conduct post-implementation reviews to extract lessons learned for continuous service improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience managing IT-related projects from inception through delivery.
- Strong organizational skills and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects.
- Excellent communication abilities tailored for diverse audience presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- A collaborative team player with proven leadership skills in motivating and managing teams.
- Eligibility to obtain New Zealand Government security clearance is essential.
