Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager eager to drive vital components and deliverables as part of our mission to establish the Internet in Space. Collaborating closely with the Strategic Bid team, Program Management Office, and Research & Development, you will ensure solutions fulfill partner and client expectations and contribute to our overall success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multifaceted projects in a product-oriented company, coordinating with Product Owners and Technical Leads.
• Collaborate with Strategic Bid and PMO teams to turn customer requirements into concrete project execution plans.
• Create and update detailed project schedules, defining timelines, key milestones, and deliverable dates.
• Track project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and proactively devise mitigation strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams to guarantee collaboration and timely task completion.
• Handle project communications, including regular status updates, stakeholder engagement, and issue escalation.
• Ensure projects meet goals and comply with all applicable industry standards and regulations.
• Manage project budgets, including forecasting and financial tracking.
• Implement change management procedures aligned with customer agreements.
• Drive continuous process improvements and adopt best practices in project management and agile methodologies.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10 years project management experience within telecommunications, space, technology, or regulated manufacturing sectors, successfully delivering multiple complex projects on time and budget.
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Proven expertise in risk, change, and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with project management software platforms.
• Technical understanding of optical communications, satellite systems, or high-speed data transfer technologies preferred; backgrounds in electronics, optics, or systems engineering are advantageous.
• Excellent communication abilities capable of translating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and promoting collaboration across departments.
• A strong customer orientation focusing on requirements and effective team communications.
• Strategic mindset able to align detailed product work with broad company objectives and vision.

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Professional certifications in project management such as PMP.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Master's degree in Space Engineering, Project Management, or related disciplines is a plus.
• Knowledge of European space standards (ECSS), aerospace industry norms, space technologies, and current industry trends.
• Experience in research and development environments and fast-paced startup cultures.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary between 75,000 and 95,000 Euros plus bonus.
