Project Manager (3-month contract) - Manhattan, NY

Overview

FLOWERBX is looking for a seasoned project and client management professional to join their B2B team for a fixed three-month contract, spanning from October 5, 2026, to January 8, 2027. The role focuses on hands-on, in-person work centered around the company’s studio and installation projects, with potential contract extension evaluated post-term.

Key Duties

• Serve as the primary daily contact for clients during designated installation projects, fostering strong, relationship-driven interactions aligning with FLOWERBX's client service standards.
• Lead and coordinate freelance teams on location during installations, which may require overnight and early morning hours as per client timelines.
• Execute physically demanding installation tasks including transporting, staging, and arranging floral products at client venues and company studios.
• Oversee logistics, stock management, and procurement of flowers and materials, ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and branding criteria.
• Organize collaboration among internal resources and external suppliers to guarantee flawless installation operations from start to finish.
• Provide support to Operations with scheduling, managing client details, and administrative responsibilities such as invoicing and budget reconciliation.
• Undergo thorough training with the Events & B2B Director to acquire comprehensive knowledge of client accounts, installation standards, and studio procedures.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in project and client management, preferably in luxury events, hospitality, or a related industry.
• Experience and familiarity with floral handling, care, and staging is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle physically strenuous duties including standing for long periods, lifting, and working irregular shifts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with adaptability to evolving installation schedules.
• Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
• Collaborative team spirit, able to take initiative after receiving direction.

Work Environment and Terms

This is a full-time, on-site contract role located at FLOWERBX's New York studio with regular travel to client sites for installations. Remote or hybrid working options are not available; the role requires physical presence at the studio and client locations, including for overnight and weekend engagements.

Compensation and Benefits

• The monthly remuneration ranges from $5,750 to $6,250.
• Additional work overnight or during weekends on installations will be compensated with equivalent time off to be taken later.
