Role Overview

The Program Manager plays a key leadership role within the project delivery function, focusing on managing complex programs composed of multiple workstreams led by individual Project Managers. This role is responsible for developing comprehensive execution plans, ensuring adherence to methodologies, policies, and procedures, and collaborating closely with HDT and Business leads to deliver impactful organizational value. The Program Manager manages scope, budget, risk, timelines, and organizational change strategies while communicating effectively across various organizational levels including executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement project standards in the absence of defined methodologies, focusing on delivery, change management, budget, and scope controls.
• Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks and adherence to appropriate methodologies and change procedures.
• Apply and uphold quality standards throughout planning, execution, and documentation phases of projects.
• Coordinate the program operations leadership team across business, technology, and governance to work synergistically toward program goals.
• Guide scope definition and structure the program’s workstreams effectively.
• Manage and implement change interventions to achieve program objectives and success factors.
• Build and oversee a diverse team of project managers, fostering high performance aligned with program goals.
• Lead resource allocation and performance management for project assignments.
• Collaborate with HDT and Business leads in budgeting, covering capital, operational, and labor expenses; analyze and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead organizational change management efforts including plan development and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and maintain communication plans to ensure stakeholder awareness regarding program changes.
• Conduct regular meetings with program leadership to facilitate progress awareness and timely decisions.
• Develop detailed, realistic program schedules incorporating dependencies and partner inputs; track and report progress consistently.
• Deliver precise and timely program status reports throughout the program lifecycle.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks impacting program delivery and completion.
• Work closely with Test Leads to design comprehensive test plans covering all aspects of the program.
• Address complex problems by considering resources, capacity, and constraints; devise optimal solutions.
• Communicate effectively with senior executives, subject matter experts, technical teams, and stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with at least 12 years of pertinent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years managing projects involving enterprise technology platforms, software development, and business application implementation.
• PMP or PgMP certification is mandatory.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Proven background managing large-scale ERP or comparable projects.
• Experience in healthcare technology project management is highly favored.
• Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, and handling complex, dependency-driven plans.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of championing cross-functional business technology initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, relationship-building, and planning capabilities.
• Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail and strong time management to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, positive attitude toward change, and capacity to influence without formal authority.
• Commitment to integrity, transparency, respect, and placing patient care at the forefront of efforts.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 plus an annual bonus up to 12% of base pay depending on criteria. Compensation varies based on skills, knowledge, and location.
