Role Overview

The Production & Studio Coordinator is a vital onsite role responsible for managing the physical flow of production and maintaining the organization, stock, security, and client-readiness of Starling's Downtown Los Angeles studio. This position involves tracking orders, processing vendor work, coordinating repairs and returns, inspecting quality, managing insured shipments, ordering supplies, and supporting day-to-day studio operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Track production orders, meet deadlines, prepare orders, identify and communicate delays, and assist the Production & Operations Lead.
• Perform thorough quality-control inspections on finished jewelry, repairs, resizes, and remakes, ensuring each piece matches client and order information.
• Handle incoming repairs and returns by receiving, photographing, documenting, labeling, securing, and coordinating with Production and Customer Service teams.
• Prepare and verify the contents of client orders, vendor packages, repairs, returns, and other high-value shipments against the associated orders before dispatch.
• Manage studio operations by ordering and maintaining inventories of production, shipping, office, kitchen, cleaning, and client-related supplies. Keep frequently used items stocked and the studio organized and client-ready.
• Track the movement of jewelry, gemstones, repairs, and finished goods within the studio. Ensure secure and labeled storage for active orders and client property.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in jewelry production, operations, inventory, shipping, studio management, or other detail-focused roles.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven reliability, discretion, and accountability in handling valuable items.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous orders, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, Shopify, Google Workspace, order management systems, and detailed written instructions.
• Experience with jewelry inspection tools such as a loupe, or knowledge of measuring or evaluating fine jewelry is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn jewelry terminology, construction, production methods, and quality standards.
• Ability to work full time, Monday through Friday, onsite at the Downtown Los Angeles studio.
• Physical capability to lift and move packages, supply boxes, and materials as needed.
• A valid driver's license is beneficial but not mandatory unless driving becomes a task requirement.
