Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Development Manager specializing in Apparel, Accessories, and Trim to drive Bandit’s global production strategy within these categories. Reporting to the Senior Raw Materials Manager, this role manages the full product lifecycle from sourcing to delivery, working closely with Design, Raw Materials, Pre-Production, and Production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead seasonal sourcing and development of trims including labels, hangtags, and tapings.
  • Coordinate trim testing with suppliers, identifying and addressing issues early.
  • Assist Senior Raw Materials Manager with sample yardage inventory, fabric testing, and fabric library maintenance.
  • Ensure accuracy of seasonal material data in product management systems.
  • Manage lab-dip requests from design handoff through to production approval.
  • Maintain comprehensive Product Development tracking tools throughout the development process.
  • Communicate regularly with domestic and international vendors to ensure timely progress.
  • Contribute to costing reviews and reverse engineering strategies aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Identify and resolve production challenges related to trim and fabric to safeguard quality and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Design, Technology, and cross-functional teams to implement product strategies.
  • Monitor seasonal calendar tasks proactively to anticipate necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in and present at key development and production milestone meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sourcing, development, or production related to apparel or accessories.
  • Excellent organizational abilities coupled with strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and adept problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing work environment.
  • Existing professional relationships with mills, factories, and suppliers are preferred.
  • A process-oriented approach with adaptability to evolving supply chain conditions.
