Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-zoned produce area at all times for customer readiness.
• Regularly rotate products and remove expired items to preserve product freshness and quality.
• Ensure all produce items are accurately priced and clearly signed with adherence to ordering, clearance, markup, markdown, labeling, and signage procedures.
• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols and cold chain standards, including temperature monitoring, correct thermometer use, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, apply product protection measures when necessary, and set up modular displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Be flexible and open to working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges to Anticipate

• Managing a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment with effective planning to maintain energy and focus, especially during overnight shifts.
• Physical requirements include prolonged standing, bending, and lifting of inventory or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with consistent attention to detail to uphold store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $16.45 CAD.
