Role Overview
We are currently assisting a leading German logistics firm with their regional expansion, necessitating a centralized reporting system adaptable to multiple currencies and borders. The PMO Intern will play a critical role in supporting the project management team by maintaining organization, comprehensive documentation, and adherence to schedules. This full-time internship is fully remote, offering flexibility while ensuring ongoing collaboration with senior consultants.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project timelines to reflect task ownership and deadlines.
- Ensure project documentation, including configuration guides and training materials, is well-organized, version-controlled, and easily accessible.
- Record precise meeting notes during sessions with the logistics client to capture key decisions and responsibilities.
- Monitor resource allocation to prevent overbooking among team members.
- Assist in compiling weekly status reports for distribution to client leadership.
- Track project expenditures against fixed-price contracts to keep the budget on target.
- Validate data entered into project management tools aligns with reported consultant progress.
- Support the development of handover documents that empower the client to operate independently post-project.
Qualifications and Skills
- Enrolled student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Project Management, or relevant field.
- Ability to follow instructions with precision and proactively seek clarification when needed.
- Proficient in spreadsheet use with knowledge of basic formulas and data organization techniques.
- Strong written communication skills emphasizing clarity and professionalism.
- Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in a fully remote setting.
- Attention to detail, particularly regarding dates, names, and document versioning.
- Fundamental understanding of project management concepts such as timelines and resource planning.
