Role Overview

We are entering an important growth phase and are looking for a proactive, experienced Plant Manager to oversee and elevate our manufacturing operations. This position demands a results-driven leader adept at managing both internal and external production, focusing on safety, efficiency, continuous improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily manufacturing and production activities across internal and outsourced facilities.
  • Take full accountability for production results, efficiency metrics, labor utilization, downtime minimization, and waste reduction.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a competent production and operations workforce.
  • Plan and maintain production schedules to consistently satisfy customer demand and service requirements.
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs including throughput, yield, labor efficiency, waste, and downtime.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at boosting capacity, enhancing efficiency, and lowering costs.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Food Safety teams to uphold strong Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and support BRC and GFSI certification compliance.

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, production guidelines, and operational controls.

  • Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Sales departments to ensure production aligns with business goals.
  • Proactively identify operational risks and propose effective solutions.
  • Build the organizational systems, procedures, and teams necessary to support TWIGZ's growth across North America.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum seven years of advancing experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
  • At least three years in a leadership position within plant, production, or operations management.
  • Experience specifically in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or environments requiring high production volumes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead production teams and elevate operational outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production scheduling, labor management, manufacturing KPIs, and ongoing process improvements.
  • Familiarity with food safety protocols, GMPs, and GFSI certification standards.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills enabling thorough understanding of production equipment and processes.
  • Track record of waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and increased production throughput.
