Role Overview

The Planning Engineer will be stationed at the factory located in Patalganga, Rasayani near Panvel, Navi Mumbai. Reporting to the Project Manager, Operations Head, or Factory Head, this role requires overseeing project schedules and production timelines to guarantee projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and with optimized resource usage. The position involves six-day work weeks with a bus facility provided from Khandeshwar railway station. Please note this opportunity is available exclusively to male candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed project schedules focused on installation and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain monthly and weekly execution plans aligned with project goals.
• Collaborate with the sales team to align order handovers and delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate with factory production planning when applicable to synchronize manufacturing schedules.
• Allocate manpower and organize material requirements based on project needs.
• Monitor project progress, identifying delays or critical activities requiring attention.
• Prepare variance analysis reports and implement corrective actions to reduce schedule slippage.
• Ensure sites are prepared and cleared for material dispatch.
• Maintain ongoing communication with purchasing and stores departments to confirm material availability and dispatch planning.
• Liaise with site engineers and supervisors for operational alignment and ensure approval of drawings and site clearances.
• Generate regular MIS reports including daily, weekly, and monthly progress, alongside delay analyses and recovery plans.
• Track manpower productivity and monitor cost impact related to project delays, recommending efficiency improvements to minimize idle time and waste.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to project schedules and contractual timelines, supporting audits and internal reviews as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 3 to 8 years in planning or project coordination roles, preferably within the elevator, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel is essential, with additional familiarity preferred in MS Project or Primavera. A sound understanding of project lifecycles and strong analytical and reporting capabilities are required.
• Key Competencies: Excellent coordination skills, effective time management, strong attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and good communication abilities.
