Physiotherapist (Musculoskeletal)

Role Overview

This senior clinical position requires an experienced physiotherapist specializing in musculoskeletal conditions, delivering expert assessment and treatment to complex patient cases autonomously. In addition to patient care, the role involves providing clinical leadership and expertise within the team and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a personal caseload of patients, ensuring comprehensive and current physiotherapy records are maintained.
• Apply evidence-based methods and best practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy interventions, guiding the designated team to do the same.
• Oversee the daily management of a specific team, including supervision and mentoring of junior therapists, therapy assistants, and students on placements.
• Engage actively in continuing professional development (CPD) and encourage the team to participate in growth and learning activities.
• Collaborate with MDT colleagues and contribute to integrated care pathways to enhance practice and service standards based on new evidence.
• Take initiative in projects related to service development, leadership, and research, alongside delegated managerial duties from Clinical Lead Therapists or Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners.
• Demonstrate exemplary professional behaviors aligning with the Trust’s values at all times.
• Operate across various clinical environments including outpatient physiotherapy and consultant-led clinics, covering focal areas such as Shoulder Clinic, Acute Soft Tissue Knee Clinic, and Shockwave Clinic.
• Ensure strict adherence to all Trust policies and guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of relevant Level 7 qualifications (either completed or in progress).
