Pharmacy Dispenser

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Dispenser at Tesco in Wells, you will be a key team member supporting the daily operation of a modern store pharmacy. The role involves meticulous dispensing of prescription medication while delivering excellent customer service and advice on medicines, common ailments, and available pharmacy services.

Working Hours

• Monday: 14:00 to 19:00
• Tuesday: 08:30 to 19:00
• Wednesday: 14:30 to 19:00
• Saturday: 08:00 to 12:00

Responsibilities

• Efficiently dispense prescriptions with precision and attentiveness to customer care.
• Provide clear and helpful advice on medication use and minor health issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries within competence or escalate to pharmacists as appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all operational procedures.
• Complete prescription-related administration accurately and punctually.
• Participate in promotional activities and company initiatives.

Requirements

• Previous experience or qualifications from a role in a pharmacy setting.
• Eagerness to grow and develop professionally in the pharmacy field.
• A commitment to excellent customer service, including a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to establish rapport quickly, ensuring customers feel confident and well supported.
• Good judgment in providing advice or deciding when to refer customers to a pharmacist.
• A positive, team-oriented mindset, open communication, and willingness to collaborate and celebrate team successes.
