Performance Test Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) Specialist / Test Engineer with strong automation skills to join our team full-time based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This position demands expertise in performance testing within the banking domain and hands-on experience with automation frameworks, delivering measurable quality assurance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive non-functional testing including performance, load, stress, soak, capacity, latency, scalability, and bottleneck analysis.
• Perform resilience testing covering failure scenarios, timeout and retry mechanisms.
• Execute security testing aligned with OWASP Top 10, authentication/authorization validations, and have foundational knowledge of DAST/SAST tools.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Java or TypeScript (Python is optional), implementing "Test as Code" methodologies.
• Integrate automated NFR checks seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines ensuring continuous quality verification.
• Analyze requirements to design measurable NFR criteria with proper test plans, creating traceable evidence for all tests.
• Conduct root cause investigation using logs, metrics, and tracing tools for problem diagnosis.
• Manage test execution and evidence documentation through Jira and Xray platforms.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum 7 to 12 years in the field with extensive experience in non-functional testing.
• In-depth banking domain knowledge focusing on core banking operations and channel processes.
• Strong proficiency in performance and security testing tools and methods.
• Hands-on automation capabilities primarily with Java or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines for continuous non-functional requirement assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Temenos or similar core banking platforms.
• Proficiency in tools such as K6, JMeter, Gatling for load testing; OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite for security testing; Selenium or Playwright for automation.
• Exposure to monitoring and analytics tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
