About The Team

The People Operations and Insights team focuses on instilling project management discipline within the People team and associated stakeholders. This team drives innovative, cohesive People products and programs that promote collective goals and sustainable growth.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager in this team, you will facilitate the delivery of projects across various People pillars, managing end-to-end or cross-functional initiatives while adeptly handling complex organizational structures. Employing structured project management practices, you'll ensure high-priority initiatives are successfully deployed and embraced by internal teams and users.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently address challenging, ambiguous issues by defining problems clearly and leading projects to actionable conclusions.
• Create and execute comprehensive project plans, streamline workflows, and maintain stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles.
• Track project status, foresee risks, and apply proactive solutions to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams such as legal, finance, and engineering to refine processes and controls.
• Set up and uphold project governance to ensure all activities and milestones meet established standards and best practices.
• Develop presentations and materials for senior leadership, stakeholders, and users to communicate project progress and outcomes effectively.
• Encourage a collaborative culture emphasizing experimentation and ongoing enhancement within the People team.

Candidate Profile

Ideal applicants will meet these essential criteria, with additional qualifications viewed favorably but not required.

• Seven or more years of experience in project management, business operations, strategy, or consulting, including at least two years within an HR function.
• Proven success managing complex situations, balancing urgency with thoughtful decision-making to drive outcomes.
• Experience working cross-functionally with HR, finance, legal, product, technology, and leadership teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing data to inform decisions.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to articulate complex concepts persuasively to varied audiences.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Asana, Jira, or Airtable and familiarity with methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
• Strong interpersonal skills supporting cross-functional collaboration, trust-building, and alignment.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-growing environment managing several projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying change management frameworks like Prosci ADKAR® Model.
• Development and deployment of enablement and training resources.
• Familiarity with HR systems including Human Capital Management (HCM), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
• Use of AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Advanced skills in Mac OS and Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Work Arrangement

This position offers flexibility to work remotely or from an office. Remote work is defined as residing 35 or more miles away from a Stripe office, where regular team meetings and events may require occasional in-person presence. Office-based employees are expected to spend at least half of their working time in their local office to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing. Note that Stripe does not cover relocation expenses for remote positions, so candidates are encouraged to apply according to their current or intended location.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary for this role in the United States ranges from $127,600 to $191,400, subject to adjustment based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional compensations may include equity awards, company bonuses, commissions, 401(k) plans, medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with wellness stipends.
