Role overview
This is a senior leadership position within an automotive distribution business serving the commercial vehicle and transport sector in Dublin. The role is focused on improving the performance of the Parts function and Warehouse Operations, with a strong emphasis on service quality for internal workshop teams and external customers, operational excellence, and supply chain effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will bring a commercial mindset, solid experience in parts operations, and a background in warehouse management. Success in this role will come from developing strong teams, refining processes, and consistently delivering high standards of customer service.
Parts operations
- Take ownership of the Parts Department’s overall performance and ensure dependable support for workshop activity and customer needs.
- Shape stock planning and purchasing approaches that keep availability high while keeping inventory at sensible levels.
- Oversee supplier management, pricing, buying activity, and stock performance.
- Continuously improve parts availability, service standards, and operating efficiency.
- Partner with workshop and service colleagues to reduce vehicle downtime and support productivity.
Warehouse operations
- Supervise all warehouse activities, including receiving goods, storing stock, controlling inventory, and dispatching orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records through strong inventory checks and regular reconciliations.
- Enhance warehouse workflows, logistics, and overall operational performance.
- Manage inbound and outbound deliveries with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Ensure warehouse processes meet health, safety, and regulatory obligations.
Leadership and performance management
- Coach, guide, and develop the Parts and Warehouse teams to achieve strong results.
- Build a workplace culture centred on accountability, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
- Track departmental output using operational and financial KPIs and identify ways to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures, inventory controls, and operational standards.
