Role Overview

The Operator is a key full-time, on-site team member responsible for handling machinery or equipment, ensuring processes run smoothly and safely. The role includes monitoring operational performance, conducting basic equipment checks, and quickly reporting even minor malfunctions or irregularities. Adherence to company guidelines, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining a tidy work area are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned machinery or equipment according to prescribed procedures and company quality standards.
• Regularly monitor performance and promptly address or report equipment issues to supervisors.
• Perform basic technical checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks to support continuous operations.
• Accurately document activities, incidents, and performance data as required in logs or forms.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate openly to ensure coordinated, efficient workflow.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work environment, complying with all safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Basic technical aptitude or mechanical skills, with a readiness to learn new equipment and procedures.
• High attention to detail to uphold operational standards and ensure accuracy in daily tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and consistently apply standard operating and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills and a strong team orientation.
• Good organizational and time management capabilities to meet operational targets.
• Completion of secondary school education or equivalent is required; additional vocational or technical training is advantageous.
• Prior experience in an operational or similar production setting is helpful but not mandatory, as training is provided.
• Commitment to on-site work in Addis Ababa and ongoing participation in company training programs.
