About Valvoline and the Role
Valvoline, a leader in automotive preventive maintenance known for its consistent growth, is seeking an Operations Experience Specialist to join its Operations Experience (OX) team in Lexington, KY. This role is essential in supporting store operations through effective communications and processes, helping deliver efficient and trusted service across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and govern standard operating procedures (SOPs), FAQs, and supporting documents for the Operations Experience team to ensure simplicity, accuracy, and alignment with training and operational stakeholders.
- Act as a central communication point among OX, Store Enablement, Training, Help Desk/Support, and Corporate Communications to ensure unified messaging, align initiative intent, and prepare teams for changes.
- Manage communications strategy by maintaining a timeline and pipeline for OX initiatives, coordinating with teams to ensure messages are consistent, accurate, timely, and delivered via appropriate channels.
- Create and execute communications, including launch updates, change notices, FAQs, and stakeholder summaries, ensuring clarity and operational consistency with Valvoline’s brand voice.
- Analyze performance data and reports related to initiatives, support issues, adoption trends, and challenges; generate actionable insights to improve operational effectiveness and store experiences.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Valvoline management.
Experience and Skills Required
- Three to five years’ relevant work experience in operations, communications, training/store enablement, process documentation, project coordination, or comparable business support functions.
- Proven experience creating or managing SOPs, FAQs, job aids, and operationally focused communications.
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, training, support/help desk, communications, or field leadership teams.
- Preferably experienced in retail, quick-service, automotive service, franchise, or multi-unit operations environments.
- Competence in using data analysis and reporting tools to identify improvement areas and recommend actionable solutions.
- Strong written communication talents with a capacity to produce clear, concise, and practical content tailored to field teams.
- Familiarity with operations processes, SOP governance, change readiness strategies, and communication planning principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, including editing, proofreading, and document management.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder demands effectively.
- Excellent cross-departmental collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Good analytical thinking with skills to interpret reports and trends for informed decision-making.
- Problem-solving acumen, with ease adapting to fast-paced and evolving work environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; preferred experience with SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, PowerApps, and project management or reporting tools.
