Ocean & Air Freight Operations Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and coordinate both ocean and air freight import and export shipments effectively. This role involves collaboration with clients, carriers, agents, and partners worldwide to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate ocean and air freight shipments for imports and exports.
• Liaise between customers, airlines, ocean carriers, agents, and international partners to facilitate shipment processes.
• Organize different types of freight shipments including Full Container Load (FCL), Less than Container Load (LCL), and air freight.
• Review, handle, and ensure accuracy of all shipping documentation.
• Track shipment progress and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as operations and customs to streamline procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the shipping lifecycle.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in ocean and/or air freight operations or in customer service roles within freight forwarding.
• In-depth understanding of international shipping procedures and necessary documentation.
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple shipments concurrently without compromising attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with strong skills in Excel.
• Detail-focused and proactive work style.
• Fluent in English.
