Job description
Role Overview
Transport for NSW is seeking a dedicated Network Officer to join their team based in Parramatta, NSW. This permanent full-time position is integral to managing a vital road safety and enforcement camera network, delivering efficient operational support, and ensuring system reliability for community safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate operational requests and provide expert assistance to both internal teams and external partners regarding camera system maintenance, site activities, access protocols, and enforcement operations.
- Monitor enforcement camera network performance including system health, connectivity, incident capture, time synchronization, and site availability to preemptively identify and resolve potential disruptions.
- Manage and update camera certification records accurately within the Camera Enforcement System to maintain compliance and support enforcement actions.
- Administer authorized vehicle registrations and carry out enforcement-related operational tasks in accordance with organizational procedures and policies.
- Maintain thorough operational documentation, reports, and handle correspondences while supporting stakeholders and service vendors for the seamless function of the camera network.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in customer service, administrative functions, or stakeholder support focused on achieving favorable customer experiences.
- Comfortable using technology and interpreting technical information without needing deep technical specialization.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic and high-pressure environment, ensuring precision and detail orientation.
- Maintains composure and professionalism when managing a high volume of phone inquiries from various stakeholders and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate II in Information Technology.
- Experience working in call centers, especially handling technical support calls.
Working Conditions and Additional Details
This Grade 5 role offers a salary between $95,543 and $100,405 plus superannuation. The role employs a hybrid working model, requiring about 50% office attendance, ideally split between the Parramatta office and another TfNSW location. The position emphasizes contributing positively to community safety through effective network oversight and maintenance.
