Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in Singapore. This role involves designing, deploying, and sustaining optimal and secure network infrastructure while collaborating with multiple teams to maintain smooth operations and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and support LAN and WAN networks using standard networking equipment and technologies.
• Configure and oversee routing and switching protocols to maintain connectivity, performance, and stability.
• Conduct thorough network troubleshooting to promptly address connectivity problems.
• Track network performance and traffic patterns to optimize capacity and resources.
• Apply and sustain network security measures such as firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and security policies.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of network setups, changes, and operations.
• Partner with IT and other stakeholders to upgrade and enhance network infrastructure and technology initiatives.
• Perform regular network evaluations and recommend enhancements based on data analysis.
• Respond swiftly to network incidents, providing technical assistance within agreed timelines.
• Keep abreast of networking industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor developments for ongoing innovation.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related IT infrastructure roles.
• Strong grasp of TCP/IP, network architecture, and networking principles.
• Practical experience with routing and switching hardware from major vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
• Expertise in LAN/WAN configuration, management, and performance optimization.
• Comprehensive understanding of network security concepts and best practices.
• Proven capability to systematically troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Excellent documentation skills and technical writing proficiency.
• Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical topics clearly.
• Experience managing incident response and adhering to change management protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry credentials.
• Experience with cloud networking and hybrid network setups.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, management, and diagnostic software tools.
• Understanding of ITSM frameworks and associated best practices.
• Knowledge of network automation, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Exposure to network design software and tools.
• Project management experience related to network infrastructure deployments.
• Awareness of emerging technologies including SDN and network virtualization.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative team environments.
