This contract position invites a Molecular Biology Specialist to join a global leader in the Biotechnology Research sector. The role is fully remote, allowing work from any location, and centers around designing and carrying out molecular biology experiments while contributing to cutting-edge gene therapy and genetic engineering projects.

Key Duties

• Plan and perform experiments using molecular biology methods such as PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid extraction.
• Process and interpret experimental results through bioinformatics and statistical analysis.
• Record observations and present insights to facilitate research goals.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to incorporate molecular biology practices into larger project frameworks.
• Refine laboratory protocols to enhance operational efficiency and reproducibility.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid experience with PCR, gel electrophoresis, and nucleic acid purification.
• Preferably skilled in analyzing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) datasets.
• Expertise in molecular cloning techniques including Gibson Assembly and enzyme digestion.
• Proficient with bioinformatics software like BLAST, Primer-BLAST, and sequence aligners.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve experimental challenges.

Additional Information
