Molecular Biologist

Overview

DSO National Laboratories, Singapore's premier defence research and development agency, plays a pivotal role in advancing national security technologies for diverse domains including air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate within a team to devise innovative methods for detecting and analyzing pathogens using multi-omics technologies.
• Plan and carry out experiments aimed at understanding the functional properties of pathogens and evaluating effectiveness of countermeasures.
• Analyze experimental data thoroughly and effectively present conclusions to relevant stakeholders via detailed reports and presentations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Degree, Master's, or PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Molecular Biotechnology.
• Proven proficiency in a broad array of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification.
• Experience conducting cellular and biochemical assays to explore bacterial biology and the anti-virulence capabilities of therapeutic agents.
• Willingness to work in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL3) laboratory settings.
• Strong communication and scientific writing skills.
• Capable of functioning autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Highly motivated with a passion for research, keeping abreast of cutting-edge biotechnological advances and integrating them into ongoing projects.
