Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Mixologist to become part of our dynamic bar team located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role involves creating unique cocktail experiences and delivering excellent service in a high-end, fast-paced hospitality setting. The position allows for showcasing creativity and passion for mixology within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, mocktails, and beverages accurately while maintaining consistency and artistic presentation according to established standards.
• Innovate and create new cocktail recipes and seasonal drink selections that mirror current market trends and preserve the brand’s distinctive style.
• Engage with guests to provide exceptional service, understand their preferences, and recommend personalized drinks.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beers, including their origins, taste profiles, and serving techniques.
• Oversee bar inventory, monitor supplies, and coordinate orders to ensure smooth operations and reduce waste.
• Handle POS system operations and cash transactions with accuracy and transparency.
• Ensure the bar is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with bartenders, wait staff, and kitchen personnel to guarantee seamless guest service.
• Adapt service techniques to accommodate a diverse international clientele with cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness.
• Coach and guide junior bar team members to enhance overall team performance and knowledge.
• Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Between 2 to 3 years of professional bartending and mixology experience in upscale hotels, fine dining restaurants, or premium bars.
• Demonstrated ability in crafting both classic and modern cocktails with advanced knowledge of mixology and flavor balance.
• Relevant bartending certification or equivalent training; possessing mixology certification is advantageous.
• Food and beverage safety certification or willingness to pursue such qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including their uses and characteristics.
• Proficiency in operating Point of Sale systems and managing cash procedures accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink prepared.
• Ability to remain composed and efficient under high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving customer preferences and operational needs.
• Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience in multicultural settings and a strong commitment to delivering inclusive, empathetic service.
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods and regularly lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Motivation to continually update skills and knowledge with the latest industry trends and beverage innovations.
