Medical Records/EMR Specialist

About the Role

Tri-State Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Inc, a reputable and busy orthopaedic practice located in Pittsburgh, PA, is expanding its team. They are seeking a full-time Medical Records/EMR Specialist to join their North Hills office. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate and comprehensive electronic medical records and assisting with quality assurance in clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process medical chart documentation and medical record release forms.
• Ensure the seamless continuity of care by accurately transmitting consultation notes, laboratory/test results, and treatment plans from the orthopaedic specialists to other healthcare providers.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Strong familiarity with medical terminology and excellent proofreading skills.
• Experience in orthopaedics is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Prior experience working with Electronic Medical Record systems is preferred; however, training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• Proficiency in computer use and strong organizational abilities are essential.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with no mandatory evening, weekend, or on-call duties.
• After completing training, employees may have the option to perform part of their work remotely from home.
