Role Overview
Based in Riyadh, the Mechanical Construction Manager is responsible for supervising all aspects of mechanical works on electromechanical projects. This position entails overseeing HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and associated systems, including all on-site planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate daily mechanical construction tasks.
- Lead and supervise on-site mechanical teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient progress.
- Track project status, monitor schedules, and confirm work aligns with design specifications and regulatory standards.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Maintain comprehensive construction documentation and interface with project stakeholders to solve technical issues.
- Implement strict safety protocols, promote compliance, and ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Control budgets and optimize use of resources within project scope.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding work progress, challenges, and risks.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated ability to direct onsite mechanical construction teams for multidisciplinary projects.
- Solid experience in budget management, resource allocation, and expenditure tracking.
- Expertise in project controls, including scheduling, progress monitoring, and coordination across different trades.
- Strong commitment to enforcing and maintaining construction safety standards and compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely aligned field; additional certifications in project or construction management are advantageous.
- Practical background in mechanical works for significant building or infrastructure projects, preferably with electromechanical contractors.
- Comprehensive understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building management systems, as well as associated codes and standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multicultural settings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
