Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the meat department, ensuring proper zoning and continuous readiness for customers.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or unsellable products to uphold quality standards.
• Accurately price and sign all products, following established protocols for ordering, clearances, markups and markdowns, labeling, and signage.
• Comply strictly with food safety and cold chain procedures, including temperature monitoring, temperature device calibration, correct food handling, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, operating equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers safely and efficiently.
• Observe all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hygienic and safe workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business demands and provide consistent, high-quality customer service.

Challenges You May Face

• Manage demanding overnight shifts while maintaining energy and focus.
• Work effectively under a fast-paced, high-volume workload, ensuring timely and accurate restocking and department recovery.
• Meet physical demands such as extended periods of standing, bending, lifting items up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing with attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.
