Marketing Data Analyst

Overview

A prominent client in the gaming sector is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to enhance tracking, reporting, and insight generation for content performance across various social media channels and initiatives. This role collaborates closely with the Audience Development Manager to provide data-driven guidance, influence channel strategies, and support marketing performance assessments.

This hybrid position primarily operates from Irvine, California, with some remote work flexibility and possible alternative arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Manage reporting aligned with key campaign milestones and product launches.
• Create and sustain complex Boolean queries for social listening and analysis purposes.
• Develop and oversee dashboards to monitor content and campaign effectiveness.
• Ensure reports reflect critical performance indicators consistent with program objectives.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver precise and insightful findings.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of audience communities and engagement patterns.
• Track content lifecycle events including updates, releases, and campaign phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience analyzing data in media planning, social media, or digital marketing analytics.
• Proven capability in managing projects within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Deep knowledge of social and video platform ecosystems and varied content formats.
• Experience employing social analytics and listening tools (e.g., Sprinklr or equivalent).
• Proficiency in building dashboards using Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Strong aptitude for conducting social listening and crafting detailed topic queries for analysis.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets and presentation tools.

Preferred Skills

• Background in digital marketing or entertainment industries.
• Education in marketing, data analytics, or media studies.
• Experience in data science or statistical evaluation.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data querying tools such as BigQuery.
• Interest in gaming or digital entertainment sectors.

The role may involve access to confidential client or customer data and proprietary systems.
