Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will play an integral role in planning, designing, purchasing, and executing modifications to manufacturing equipment and systems, contributing effectively within project teams. This role focuses on developing and implementing manufacturing processes that comply with safety standards, meet business objectives, and align with product specifications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and apply manufacturing processes to meet production and quality goals efficiently.
- Employ manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance equipment performance and process capabilities.
- Assist in creating and maintaining manufacturing standards and procedures using lean tools and quality improvement mechanisms.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners on assigned projects.
- Support new product introductions by setting up and validating processes.
- Investigate and resolve production challenges through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Prepare and update process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams for smooth operations.
- Drive improvements in machine utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial) or related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or operations, preferably within the automotive sector.
- Potential compliance with export controls or licensing requirements may apply.
Technical Skills
- Proficient knowledge of machining and assembly manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S and Kaizen.
- Basic competence with problem-solving frameworks such as Why-Why analysis, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D problem solving.
- Experience with OEE, productivity, and quality performance indicators.
- Strong skills in data analysis and MS Excel for process monitoring.
- Capability to develop process documentation and implement process standardization.
