Curesearch for Children's Cancer is dedicated to advancing treatments and accelerating cures for childhood cancer through funding innovative research, uniting top scientific minds, and engaging devoted supporters.
Position Overview
The Manager, Executive Operations is a remote, full-time role based in the United States, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and indirectly to the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Scientific Affairs. This dynamic position requires an organized, proactive, and relationship-driven individual who thrives in managing complexity, fostering connections, and facilitating seamless progress across projects and partnerships within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive leadership to advance strategic priorities by managing calendars, organizing meetings and travel, preparing agendas and presentations, and tracking action items.
- Work with Human Resources and leadership to enhance the employee and governance experience, including coordinating recruitment and interviews, onboarding new hires, maintaining HR documentation and job descriptions, preparing Board materials, drafting minutes, and supporting governance and committee activities.
- Assist the Vice President of Scientific Affairs in organizing scientific meetings, educational programs, coordinating advisory sessions, managing logistics and documentation, tracking research impact, and conducting research on investigators and institutions to support funding and strategic outreach.
- Serve as the primary project coordinator for external marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring campaigns progress smoothly from conception to implementation by managing timelines, meeting schedules, review processes, and cross-departmental content coordination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least five years of experience supporting senior leadership, managing projects, or handling complex operational coordination.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and project management expertise.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with sound judgment and discretion handling confidential materials.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with professionalism, flexibility, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Box.com, Zoom, Slack, and project management tools.
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is advantageous.
