Job description
Position Overview and Terms
This role is for a Manager in Computer Operations at K2S Global Solutions, LLC. The engagement is scheduled to start immediately and continue through June 30, 2028, with the possibility of renewal or extension. The position requires full onsite presence at 1170 Celebration Blvd., Celebration, FL 34747; remote work is not permitted. Working hours are flexible between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including participation in rotation and on-call duties. Travel to various FDOT sites is expected to range between 25% to 40% of the time. Interviews may be conducted either via Microsoft Teams or in person according to the hiring manager’s choice.
Qualifications and Candidate Profile
- At least seven years of IT experience in multi-platform environments.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree, technical certificate, or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; alternatively, equivalent professional experience is acceptable.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced as an IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Desktop Support Manager, or Regional IT Manager with demonstrated expertise in:
- Leading and managing technical support teams, including supervisors and project leaders.
- Implementing IT service management processes such as incident, problem, change, and request management.
- Operating service desks effectively, managing ticket queues, SLAs, escalations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Overseeing the full lifecycle management of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers, hardware, and software.
- Coordinating enterprise software deployments, system upgrades, patches, and rollout activities.
- Supporting network and telephony infrastructures.
- Monitoring systems, ensuring operational availability, and responding to incidents.
- Planning for business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Maintaining compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Conducting performance evaluations, providing training and mentorship, and developing succession plans.
Physical and Operational Requirements
- Ability to travel to remote FDOT locations as needed.
- Willingness and capability to perform hands-on support covering hardware, software, network, telephony, and user assistance.
- Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and engage in physical tasks such as climbing ladders, stooping, squatting, crawling, bending, and pushing.
- Readiness to work in varied weather conditions when servicing remote sites.
This position entails direct technical involvement beyond typical managerial tasks, including onsite deployments and technical support activities.
