Role Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to play a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and upkeep of the facility. This hands-on position requires practical skills and a proactive mindset to ensure the environment remains safe, comfortable, and fully operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform an extensive range of maintenance functions throughout the building and its surrounding grounds, including repairs, inspections, installations, and general upkeep.
• Ensure all equipment and systems operate safely and efficiently by early identification of issues and prompt resolution.
• Collaborate closely with the Home Manager and other team members to assist in maintenance scheduling, compliance audits, and coordination with contractors when necessary.
• Maintain a tidy, secure, and operational environment, ensuring all tasks comply with health and safety regulations.

What We Expect

• Prior experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a comparable role.
• Strong knowledge of general repair work, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Capability to work autonomously and manage workload efficiently.
• Familiarity with health and safety protocols and procedures.
• A practical, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.
• Dependability, good organizational skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.

Contract and Benefits

• Hourly wage of £14.06.
• Contracted for 35 hours per week.
• Paid Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership, pension provision, and uniform supplied.
• Annual leave amounting to 5.6 weeks based on full-time employment.
