Role Overview
The Loss Prevention Store Security Agent plays a key part in maintaining a safe, secure, and customer-friendly store environment. This position focuses on preventing theft, supporting store investigators, using CCTV systems, and protecting associates, customers, and company assets. It also offers opportunities to build leadership ability, interact with customers, and work closely with a collaborative retail team.
Key Duties
- Represent the store in uniform by greeting shoppers, responding to pedestal alarms, and helping maintain a positive customer experience.
- Identify and stop theft and fraud affecting TJX stores, assist during suspect apprehensions, and support civil or criminal proceedings when needed.
- Monitor the store through CCTV and floor patrols, and work with Organized Retail Crime investigators to detect, document, and report losses involving repeat offenders or organized groups.
- Escalate alert signals and support internal investigations related to dishonesty, supply-chain losses, and external incidents, including coordination with law enforcement and district leadership on shrink-related issues.

Candidate Profile
Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent experience. Backgrounds or studies in retail loss prevention, military service, security, law enforcement, or related fields are encouraged. A provincial security license is required where applicable. A valid driver’s licence is preferred, depending on the market, along with access to a vehicle and a clean driving record.
