As part of this growth, we are recruiting a meticulous and committed Logistics Coordinator for our Riyadh office. This role is essential in facilitating efficient logistics operations to support new store launches and ongoing supply chain demands.
Role Overview
The chosen candidate will efficiently manage and optimize inbound and outbound logistics workflows. This position requires extensive experience in international shipping, regulatory document management, supplier coordination, and freight cost oversight. The Logistics Coordinator ensures the smooth, compliant, and cost-efficient transportation of goods across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee inbound and outbound shipments to guarantee deliveries meet schedule requirements.
- Calculate shipment volumes accurately for air and sea freight and arrange bookings accordingly.
- Negotiate freight charges and manage space allocation with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Select optimal shipping options balancing cost, speed, and service quality.
- Provide stakeholders with timely shipment tracking updates and maintain proactive communication.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping laws and documentation standards.
- Handle SABER PCOC and SCOC filing processes in line with regulatory mandates.
- Coordinate with suppliers to monitor shipment statuses and resolve backorder issues promptly.
- Keep accurate tracking records and notify relevant parties of any shipment changes or delays.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to maintain precise inventory records and support proper stock management.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, finance, and production to align logistics with business needs.
- Communicate critical information regarding delays, customs holds, or shipment route modifications.
- Investigate and resolve any logistics problems such as delivery delays or documentation errors.
- Recommend and implement corrective measures to mitigate risk and avoid future issues.
- Stay updated on international and local import/export regulations, duty tariffs, and licensing requirements.
- Guarantee ongoing compliance with SABER and other regulatory frameworks.
- Analyze logistics data to detect inefficiencies and recommend operational enhancements.
- Lead initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining service excellence and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of practical experience in international logistics and supply chain management, ideally within the retail sector.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Fluent English communication skills.
