Job description
Overview
This role involves leading complex sourcing and contract management within the Phosphate Business Unit, focusing on commercial excellence, governance, risk management, and adherence to company procurement policies.
Key Duties
- Oversee the full cycle of sourcing high-value service contracts, including preparation and evaluation of RFQs, RFPs, BAFOs, and recommendations for awards.
- Drive commercial negotiations, examining scopes, pricing, and justifications to ensure optimal value.
- Manage contract modifications such as amendments, renewals, and extensions while ensuring compliance and audit preparedness.
- Offer contractual and commercial guidance to internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Assess and mitigate commercial, contractual, and operational risks to sustain uninterrupted business operations.
- Track supplier performance and contract utilization, promoting improvements in contract coverage and service delivery.
- Mentor team members to enhance their expertise in contract technicalities, commercial practices, and governance.
- Compile reports and summaries for executive review, supporting decision-making with negotiation insights and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, Contract Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in contract services, strategic sourcing, service contracts, and commercial negotiations, preferably in industrial, mining, petrochemical, oil & gas sectors, or similar industries.
- Strong skills in leadership, strategic thinking, commercial insight, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, contract governance, risk assessment, and change management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle Fusion and SAP.
Additional Information
Role reports to Section Head of Contract Services and operates within the Phosphate BU Procurement and Business Support department. Candidate must excel in communication, accountability, and driving value through commercial excellence.
