Role Summary

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for keeping linens, towels, uniforms, and other washable items properly cleaned, folded, and stored. The role helps the operation run smoothly by maintaining strong cleanliness standards and ensuring laundry is turned around on time.

Key Duties

• Run washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment in a safe and effective manner.
• Separate, wash, dry, fold, and arrange items based on fabric type and care directions.
• Check laundry for stains, damage, or signs of wear, and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Handle detergents and other cleaning agents correctly while following chemical safety rules.
• Keep the laundry workspace clean, tidy, and well organized.
• Monitor laundry volumes and ensure items are processed within required timeframes for guest or team use.
• Support tracking of laundry supplies and help maintain stock levels.
• At times, transport clean laundry to the relevant rooms or departments.
• Adhere to company procedures as well as health and safety requirements at all times.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Background in laundry work, housekeeping, or general cleaning is considered an advantage.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, and lifting or carrying heavy loads.
• Able to work on own initiative and also cooperate effectively with others.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays when required.
