Land Surveyor

Job Purpose

Execute precise field measurements, boundary analyses, and topographic mapping to support engineering and construction initiatives. The chosen candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, comprehensive knowledge of surveying concepts, and the capability to work efficiently both on-site and alongside design and construction teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out land, topographic, and construction surveys utilizing GPS, total stations, and other high-precision instruments
• Analyze and interpret survey information to generate accurate maps, layouts, and detailed reports
• Set control points, boundaries, and benchmarks in alignment with project specifications
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to incorporate survey findings into design plans
• Ensure adherence to legal requirements, project standards, and health and safety regulations during survey operations
• Regularly maintain and calibrate surveying tools to guarantee precision
• Compile thorough technical documents, including drawings, records, and reports
• Oversee active construction to verify conformity with design layouts and elevations
• Address and resolve any inconsistencies between design data and actual site conditions
• Lead junior survey personnel and organize onsite survey activities

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• Possess a Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields with more than seven years of pertinent experience, OR
• Hold a Master's degree (MSc) in related disciplines with over five years of relevant experience from an accredited institution
• Proficient in operating surveying equipment and software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Leica, and Trimble
• Comprehensive knowledge of land surveying methods, mapping protocols, and regional regulations
• Strong analytical thinking and mathematical aptitude
• High attention to detail combined with spatial awareness
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including report preparation
• Ability to function independently or collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Well-versed in legal land boundary issues and documentation requirements
