Role Overview
The Laboratory Analyst will conduct precise and safe laboratory testing in line with authorized methods, ISO 17025 standards, and SGS Quality Management protocols. This position ensures delivery of superior analytical services while upholding stringent quality, environmental, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute analytical tests using established laboratory methodologies.
- Accurately prepare, manage, and analyze customer samples.
- Maintain strict compliance with ISO 17025 and company quality systems.
- Document, review, and report analytical results with accuracy.
- Engage in quality control, validation, and verification tasks.
- Support laboratory audits, both internal and external.
- Ensure laboratory instruments are calibrated, maintained, and appropriate for use.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures; participate in risk evaluations.
- Report any incidents or non-conformances and support corrective measures.
- Keep precise laboratory records and documentation updated.
- Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement efforts as part of the lab team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
- Prior experience working in analytical laboratory environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 quality standards is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Proficient communication and computer literacy skills.
- Must possess a valid and authorized work permit or visa for employment in Ireland.
Additional Information and Benefits
- 6-month fixed-term contract based in Dublin, 40 working hours per week.
- Salary range between €38,000 and €42,000.
