Job description
Role Overview
The Junior UI Engineer will play a key role in supporting a premier investment firm in Dubai by converting detailed and complex financial information into intuitive digital interfaces. This position ensures the software tools developed are as thoughtfully crafted and robust as the strategic counsel provided to clients, effectively bridging high-level corporate governance concepts with practical portfolio management software.
About Arabian Private Holdings
Arabian Private Holdings operates on the principle that critical business challenges require focused expertise rather than large consulting teams or exhaustive methodologies. Serving select mandates, the firm emphasizes corporate strategy, governance, and operational efficiency for notable entities region-wide. They function as a fully remote organization that prioritizes quality analysis and strong client relationships over traditional office structures and expansion ambitions. Transparency is key: projects outside their expertise are declined, while those within scope receive sustained involvement through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain clean, user-friendly interfaces for bespoke internal applications used by an investment firm in Dubai.
- Work closely with senior leaders to comprehend and incorporate the nuances of complex financial assignments into UI design.
- Transform static wireframes and design mockups into responsive, accessible front-end code.
- Engage in code reviews to uphold standards of clarity and performance in all deliverables.
- Continuously refine existing interfaces based on feedback from investment teams and family office clients.
- Document UI components and design standards to ensure consistency across multiple software initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues to maintain reliable reporting systems.
- Operate effectively within a remote development environment to deploy updates supporting real-time client decisions.
Desired Qualifications and Traits
- Basic yet solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript, possibly through academic or personal projects.
- Genuine interest in the impact of design decisions on software usability, especially in financial and corporate contexts.
- Excellent written communication skills with an ability to articulate technical concepts without jargon.
- Logical problem-solving mindset and proactive inquiry on complex mandates.
- Capability to self-manage schedules and deliverables in a remote, decentralized team setting.
- Keen attention to detail concerning visual alignment, spacing, and typography in digital interfaces.
Company Work Environment
As a conscious remote employer, the organization values focused thought leadership and technical excellence without conventional office distractions. Their process leans on asynchronous communication, precise documentation, and mentorship from senior engineers and principals. The culture rejects knowledge gatekeeping, encouraging curiosity and commitment to engage deeply with important projects from the outset. Autonomy and ownership of individual contributions are fundamental, supported by clear progress communication through text and video updates owing to the distributed nature of the team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects for a leading investment firm and family offices in the region.
- A competitive salary package designed to be attractive for candidates at the entry-level.
- Permanent, full-time employment with full remote flexibility respecting professional independence.
- Direct involvement at the crossroads of corporate governance, strategic planning, and technical solution delivery.
- A work culture valuing straightforward, honest communication over formal corporate conventions.
