Junior Technician

About the Role

This entry-level position involves working closely with the maintenance team to perform repairs and upkeep on the Emirates Flight Catering fleet continuously throughout the day. The role demands adherence to quality protocols and efficient execution of tasks under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair tasks following guidance from the supervisor.
• Conduct thorough inspections and document all readings as per the maintenance checklist.
• Handle tools correctly and ensure optimal consumption of materials.
• Maintain professionalism and tidiness before, during, and after maintenance activities.
• Communicate completed work and pending tasks effectively to the supervisor by shift end.
• Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all service operations.
• Comply with quality standards set by ISO 9001:2015 and the company's quality policies through established procedures.
• Carry out additional duties assigned as part of the job.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of High School plus ITI/ITC certification or an equivalent industrial training qualification, including trade test certification.
• At least three years of practical experience in a similar capacity within ground support equipment workshops or vehicle maintenance environments.
• Competence in mechanical and auto-electrical systems, vehicle instrumentation, as well as automobile air-conditioning, refrigeration, tire maintenance, welding, or fabrication.
• Basic proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Technical aptitude coupled with problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Preferably trained in first aid, safety protocols, and basic firefighting techniques.
