Position Overview

As a Junior Front-End Developer, you will play a vital role in designing, creating, and maintaining web applications and interfaces. You will collaborate closely with experienced developers, designers, and product teams to deliver responsive, accessible, and engaging digital products while honing your technical skills. This position suits individuals early in their career, including recent graduates or those with internships, freelance experience, or personal projects.

Key Responsibilities

Build responsive and mobile-optimized web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Contribute to developing reusable user interface components and interactive elements.
Translate UI/UX designs into clean, functional, and adaptive web applications.
Optimize websites and apps for fast loading, high performance, and good usability.
Ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices through comprehensive testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs and performance issues.
Maintain and improve existing web applications by adding features and enhancing user experience.
Perform routine updates and code maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and product managers in an Agile environment.
Take active part in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and code reviews.
Write well-structured, maintainable, and documented code following coding standards and best practices.
Participate in quality assurance, testing, and debugging efforts.
Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with new front-end frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Share knowledge and contribute ideas to enhance product quality and development efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
0 to 2 years of experience in front-end or web development; internship and freelance experience welcomed.
Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and familiar with React.js, Vue.js, or Angular frameworks.
Understanding of responsive design principles and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, browser developer tools, debugging, web accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with Git version control.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

Hands-on experience with personal, academic, or portfolio web projects.
Basic familiarity with TypeScript and state management tools such as Redux, Context API, or Pinia.
Experience with design collaboration software like Figma.
Familiarity with build and package tools like Vite, Webpack, npm, or Yarn.
Exposure to Agile or Scrum workflows.
