Junior Data Analyst

About the Role

Global Care Medical Solutions (GCMS) is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join their team in Berlin, Germany. This full-time, on-site position is tailored for early-career professionals or recent graduates passionate about data analytics. The candidate will support data collection, reporting, and business intelligence activities, contributing valuable insights to assist business decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, validate, and structure data from various sources to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
• Analyze data sets to detect trends, patterns, and derive actionable business insights.
• Create regular reports, dashboards, and visual data representations for stakeholders and management.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining business intelligence reports and performance indicators.
• Deliver analytical support to enable data-driven decisions and offer thoughtful recommendations.
• Track and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate business performance.
• Perform specific ad-hoc analyses to support operational, financial, marketing, and strategic projects.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill reporting requirements and business objectives.
• Ensure data integrity and adherence to data governance policies.
• Help automate reporting processes and enhance data collection methodologies.
• Document data sources, analytical methods, and reporting workflows.
• Keep abreast of new developments in data analytics tools, techniques, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Fundamental understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data manipulation features.
• Basic familiarity with SQL for querying datasets is preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is advantageous.
• Introductory skills in Python, R, or other analytics software are considered a plus.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Keen attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for clearly presenting analytical findings.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines within a dynamic environment.
• Preferably holds a bachelor's degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
