Overview

We are seeking a proficient Java Backend Developer with a minimum of three years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices to join a dynamic technology-driven insurance firm in Bangalore. Candidates with a background in Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Securities projects are highly preferred. Familiarity with Kafka is considered advantageous. This position offers the chance to work in a leading global AI-focused digital engineering company supporting Fortune 500 clients across various industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, and Technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain robust backend applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Create and improve RESTful APIs and scalable enterprise-level software.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software products.
• Enhance application performance, resolve production issues, and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Manage SQL database interactions, including Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and participate actively in Agile methodologies, code reviews, and software testing.
• Engage with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and support development of cloud-native applications.

Candidate Requirements

• 3 to 8 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong command of Java versions 8, 11, or 17, Spring Boot framework, Microservices, and REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Proficient understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Familiarity with Kafka messaging system is advantageous.
• Experience in domains like Payments, FinTech, Securities, or related Financial Services is a plus.
