Janitorial Cleaner

Role overview

ABM Industries is seeking a dependable Janitorial Cleaner to keep assigned facilities clean, orderly, and sanitary. This position supports the day-to-day appearance and hygiene of the workplace, helping create a pleasant environment for employees, clients, and visitors.

Key duties

• Carry out regular cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and other surfaces.
• Disinfect restrooms, restock necessary supplies, and uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Remove trash and recycling and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Keep cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies organized and properly stored.
• Notify the supervisor about maintenance concerns, safety risks, or low supply levels.
• Support preparation and cleanup for meetings, events, or other special tasks when required.
• Follow all safety rules and sanitation procedures established by the company.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, manage time well, and pay close attention to detail. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and safety practices is important. Previous work in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is an added advantage. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
