Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous ITS Asset Manager specializing in Roads Operations & Maintenance to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role serves as a critical link between ITS Operations/Technical Teams and the Asset Management department, facilitating accurate collection, structuring, analysis, and conversion of data from road and tunnel control centers, communication networks, and allied control systems into actionable asset management insights and strategies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage ITS infrastructure assets including Road and Tunnel Control Centers, communication networks (fiber backbone, switches, transmission), SCADA/ATMS platforms, server rooms, power supplies, and UPS systems.
- Coordinate with technical experts to gather, validate, and organize asset and maintenance data for asset management objectives.
- Create and refine asset maintenance strategies alongside specialists.
- Maintain and enhance the asset register, hierarchy, and classification to align with contracts and best practices.
- Analyze maintenance metrics like MTBF, MTTR, availability, and failure patterns, translating operational KPIs into asset performance indicators.
- Develop condition assessment criteria and asset performance scoring systems to support risk-based prioritization.
- Assist in lifecycle planning, renewal forecasting, and capital investment planning for long-term asset sustainability.
- Identify patterns of recurring failures, systemic risks, and obsolescence, recommending mitigation measures.
- Prepare detailed asset performance reports and dashboards for management and client communication.
- Ensure data accuracy within EAMS systems and verify proper failure coding and asset tagging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive ITS operations and asset management practices.
- Support audits, contractual compliance reviews, and asset-related deliverables.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance strategies and asset governance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure operations and maintenance, ITS systems, or asset management.
- In-depth knowledge of asset management principles, lifecycle planning, and performance tracking.
- Experience with EAMS systems and managing infrastructure data.
- Understanding of control centers, communication networks, SCADA/ATMS platforms, and critical IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work collaboratively in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
- Previous experience with GCC infrastructure or transport authority projects is advantageous.
- Professional certification in Asset Management (e.g., IAM, CMRP) is a plus.
