IT Operations Management Specialist

Job Overview

This role involves managing IT operations at the Data Centre with key focus on monitoring job schedules, system alerts, security, and backup media handling to ensure smooth IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee automated task and job scheduling using Control M software.
• Execute manual batch jobs following schedules prepared by the Applications Team or on-demand requests from business and operations users, adhering to documented procedures.
• Handle backup media tasks including mounting, retrieval from media library, and coordinating offsite storage transfers.
• Maintain an accurate catalog of backup media within CIMB Singapore Data Centre.
• Monitor Data Centre CCTV systems and promptly report unauthorized access or suspicious activities to the IT Operations Manager.
• Continuously observe server, network, and application uptime via monitoring tools such as Ops Manager and Apps Manager, escalating alerts to the appropriate support teams.
• Track email alerts and ensure relevant support teams address flagged issues.
• Uphold Data Centre security and safety standards and report any breaches immediately to the IT Operations Manager.
• Provide helpdesk support during after-office hours and on non-working days.
• Manage split password security services.
• Administer electronic keypress and CCTC system operations.
• Perform release management duties using Aldon LMI and LME tools.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma in IT or a related certification.
• Bring 2 to 3 years of experience in Data Centre operations or application job processing.
• Familiarity with IT operations and Data Centre procedures.
• Proficient in IT system alert monitoring and escalation, batch job processing, and tape media management.
